Goal of my research: The overarching research goal is to address food loss and waste through two complementary approaches: (1) developing recycling solutions that convert agricultural and food processing byproducts into cellulose-based materials for biodegradable semirigid and flexible packaging, and (2) extending the shelf life of postharvest and processed food products by applying advanced packaging technologies featuring innovative materials with functional properties.
