Qin Meng, PhD

Professor Qin Meng has two-years of experience on Phase I clinical trial on hollow-fiber based Bioartificial Liver during her visiting in University of Minnesota, MN, USA. Later, she continued to work on gel entrapment culture of primary mammalian cells for both tissue engineering and drug hepatotoxicity studies. She also has many years in chemical modification of membrane for creating antifouling microenvironment for cell culture as well as for drug evaluation in vitro. Biosurfactant rhamnolipid has been another research area since 1998, which includes its efficient fermentation and wide application on petrochemical industry, cosmetics as well as agriculture.
