David (Dichuan) Li is the founder / tech director of Secol Chemical, a secondary alcohol and derivatives manufacturer in China. David obtained his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from Rice University in 2011. He joined Shell Global Solutions in Houston as a research scientist working on product development and tech support for higher olefins and derivatives (detergent alcohols and surfactants) business unit. Subsequently, he returned to his home country China to develop process for making secondary alcohols and their derivatives and founded Secol Chemical in Jiangsu Province manufacturing such products.
David is a member of AOCS since 2011.
