Saya Nakamura is a Ph.D. Student at the Department of Bioscience and Bioenvironmental Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, Graduate School Kyushu University, Japan. She is a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Research Fellowship (DC2). She holds a B.S. and M.S. in Agricultural Chemistry, Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan, and she was a visiting student at Guelph Research and Development Centre, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, from Oct. 2023 to Jun. 2024. Her research focuses on the prevention of lifestyle-related diseases, such as diabetes and dementia, by food-derived bioactive peptides and the elucidation of their underlying mechanisms by in vitro, in vivo, and in silico analyses.
