Due to cultural relativism and economic developments in the Far East region, a new trend has emerged for developing nutritional and healthy lipid and protein products. The driving forces include traditional values and perceptions, rising cases of chronic diseases, advancing science and nutrition, and overwhelming industrial revolution. Consequently, more and more new and healthy products have been put into markets. These developments will have an impact on global fat and oil industries.
