Harnessing Vegetable Oil Waste: Circular Economy in Action directly addresses urgent global challenges including biodiversity loss, waste emissions, and climate change. By emphasising on a circular economy, the focus will be on innovative strategies to minimize waste, maximize resource efficiency, and contribute to a more sustainable future. Vegetable oil waste, once considered an environmental challenge now holds potential as a renewable energy source (in the form of biogas) and as a source for valuable phenolic bioactive compounds among others.
