Sorour Barekat majored in Food Sciences and Engineering from Isfahan Univerity od Technology. Later she joined as a exchange PhD researcher at the University of Ghent. Currently, she joined Department of Food Science at University of Arkansas as a Post Doctoral Fellow. She is conducting research both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in the food engineering program, focusing on 3D food printing technologies. Her work involves developing inks from plant proteins and other biopolymers, optimizing the conditions for 3D printing, analyzing proteins, and evaluating the bioaccessibility of macro and micronutrients.
