Hendrik Henning earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. During his time there, he specialized in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, developing expertise in NMR instrumentation establishing systems to manage multi-user laboratories.

After moving to the United States in 2020, Hendrik joined Steelyard Analytics in October 2021 as a Study Director. His leadership and technical acumen led to his promotion to Director of Laboratory Operations in September 2022, and he was appointed Chief Executive Officer in January 2024.

Known for his innovative mindset and ability to manage multiple complex projects — often with three or more computers running at once — Hendrik combines scientific precision with a passion for leadership and growth. Outside the lab, he enjoys traveling, discovering new places, and studying philosophy, history, and spirituality, continually seeking broader insights to enrich both his professional and personal life.
