Carlos Martin-Alberca, PhD. Currently working as a Sr. Scientist Contaminants and Lipid Analytical for Cargill Food Innovation - Edible Oils, in the global Product and Process Development team (R&D). Carlos holds a PhD in Analytical Chemistry, a Master degree in Forensic Sciences (Forensic Analytical Chemistry) and a Bachelor in Biology.
He has broad experience in the development of new methodologies by a pletora of analytical techniques (separation, spectrometric and spectroscopic techniques), applied to the study of multiple analytes and matrices. He has published around 20 research articles in international journals, a dozen of them as a first author, and he has been the leader of several research projects in national public institutions and companies in Spain, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
In his current role, he has spent almost 5 years on the study of edible oils contaminants from the analytical and processing perspective.
