Donghao Wang received his PhD from the Department of Food Science, Cornell University. He is now a post doctorate fellow at the Pediatric Research Institute, the University of Texas at Austin. He has gained much of his expertise under the supervision of Dr. Tom Brenna. His research focuses on in-depth characterization of fatty acids and lipids with some state-of-the-art technologies, including covalent adduct chemical ionization (CACI) and Paterno Buchi reaction, capable to elucidating the positions of double bonds. With these elegant and facile methods, he is able to characterize food fatty acids to the true molecular level with confidence. He has published 18 papers of which half of them are first authored in high end journals such as Analytical Chemisty, Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Scientific Reports, etc.
