Ipek Bayram is a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Food Science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She works together with Dr. Eric Decker on the mathematical modeling of oxidation kinetics for early shelf-life estimation of lipids, as well as toxicity assessment of oxidized lipids in animal models. Ipek has received the Honored Student Award, the Manuchehr (Manny) Eijadi Award, and the Lipid Oxidation and Quality Division Student Travel Grant from AOCS from 2021 to 2023.
