Gretchen Vannice is a nutrition science and health consultant with expertise in omega-3 fatty acids. Her most recent post was at the National Institute of Health, Office of Dietary Supplements. Gretchen has been the Director of Research and Education for fish oil manufacturers in the US and has provided consulting services for fish oil manufacturers globally. She has trained thousands of people, coordinated several clinical research trials, authored many academic publications, and written 2 books on omega-3 fats. She was lead author of the position paper on dietary fats for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Gretchen serves on the Science and Nutrition Advisory Council for the Seafood Nutrition Partnership and is the founding chair of the Science committee for the Global Organization or EPA and DHA Omega-3. Gretchen’s strategic work thrives on targeted translation of science and collaboration.
