Janet McMillan is an Associate Research Scientist at Dow in the Colloid and Interfacial Science capability within Formulation, Automation and Materials Science, Corporate R&D. Her research at Dow spans multiple business units, with a focus on understanding the self-assembly and interfacial properties of polymers, surfactants, and colloids to enable the development of new sustainable raw materials with improved performance. She also works extensively with high-throughput research capabilities, and has a passion for developing high-throughput workflows and test methods to accelerate research. Prior to joining Dow, Janet received a PhD in Chemistry from Northwestern University in 2019, where she developed novel methods to direct the assembly of protein materials with controlled and ordered architectures.
