Abstract: Pretreatment results of three different used cooking oils (UCO) with different metal contents are shown. These different UCO were treated with different conditions in order to know which of these processes gives better results in terms of P, Ca, Na, Mg, and Fe content. After the acid pretreatment, bleaching was performed at different dosages of bleaching earth in order to find both the best pretreatment and the best dosage of bleaching earth. These processes were performed at laboratory level and the results of metals were analyzed in an Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP).
