International Association of Rice Bran Oil (IARBO)

IARBO is a global organization dedicated to promoting the benefits and applications of rice bran oil. The association brings together producers, researchers, and marketers to share knowledge, advance production technologies, and raise public awareness of the health benefits and uses of rice bran oil. IARBO was established in 2013. China, Japan, India, Thailand, and Vietnam became the first five member countries of the association. The mission for IARBO includes: Increasing the awareness of rice bran oil for public in terms of health and applications; Promoting technology sharing and development; Sharing and promoting international standards for rice bran oil production and quality; Developing and enhancing safety assurance systems for rice bran oil; and Promoting the development and value-added utilization of rice bran by-products (e.g., in food, feed, and industrial applications).
